No I didn't get a new car for my birthday. I've had this one for 8 years and she reached her 10th birthday this year- 2005-2015 and another milestone 200.000 miles! Here's the story... A few weeks ago I was parked at One Stop and when I came out there was a card on my windshield from a car detailer in Bar Harbor. I set the card on my console and forgot about it. Greg and I switched cars for a trip and just 3 days before my birthday, still trying to come up with a gift idea, Greg glanced down at the card and bingo! He surprised me with a complete car detailing job - new again! I loved it inside and out~
So on to the celebration. I was born on May 31st which this year was a rainy Sunday so we planned a full day of fun for the 30th- a beautiful sunny Saturday! I decided that I wanted a simple small family birthday doing fun things with people I love- those are the best kind!
Greg, Stephen and I started off the day with a round of golf at NEH and even rented the new electric golf carts. Always enjoy golf with my golfing buddies~
Then it was on to little golf at Pirate's Cove!
First time Pirate Adventure for the Barrett Family
It was a Girls vs. Boys match~~
On the girl's team Annie, Sunshine, Anna, Bo and Lola
and for the boys...
Stephen, Greg, Jason, Kai and Koa
Let the games begin...
Birthday part three- back to the house for food, fire and fun!
Chocolate cake with real lilac's made by Sunshine! (not the lilac's, the cake)
Rosalie's Pizza- my favorite with Sunshine's famous salsa!
Birthday's do not get any better than this!
A great fire in the back yard with s'more's, soccer and a game of bear.
But the best part of the birthday of course was spending the day with people I love.
Thanks to everyone for making #55 a special one!
What a fun birthday!! Still wouldn't peg you for 55 though...love you!
